    How we move

    1 When you walk, you move slowly on your feet.

    • I walk to school every day.

    2 When you run, you move fast on your feet.

    • She runs in the park.

    3 When you jog, you run slowly for exercise.

    • He jogs every morning.

    4 When you jump, you move up and down with your feet.

    • The boy jumped over the box.

    5 When you climb, you go up something (stairs, a tree).

    • They climbed the mountain.

    6 When you swim, you move in water.

    • We swim in the pool.

    7 When you dance, you move your body to music.

    • We danced at the party.

    8 When you fall, you go down to the ground.

    9 When you sit, you put your body on a chair.

    How we move things

    11 When you push something, you move it away from you.

    12 When you pull something, you move it towards you.

    13 When you press something (a button), you push lightly.

    14 When you pass something, you give it to someone.

    • Pass me the ball.

    15 When you carry something, you hold it and take it with you.

    • She is carrying a big bag.

    16 When you lift something, you move it up from a lower position.
